About the role

  • We're hiring for the next person on our core product engineering team.
  • It's a small, focused team of amazing engineers who like owning entire parts of the product end-to-end and want to work on complex technical challenges with real-impact.
  • And separately, have also built multiple other layers that allow for Poetic to work effectively to achieve the accuracy and reliability needed to automate the most critical processes on computers.

Responsibilities

  • engineers that have built multiple products 0 to 1 at prior fastest growing startups, Financial Services vertical lead at Palantir, Ramp Growth Lead, #1 enterprise AE from Retool, multiple past founders.
  • We're hiring for the next person on our core product engineering team. Someone who is inspired by the future and wants to build what the next layer of human-computer interaction could look like for how we all use computers.
  • Poetic is a fully vertically integrated programming stack and environment and we've had to build the IDE, the compiler, the runtime, and the infra underneath to make it work.

  • How do you build a runtime that can reliably execute multi-hour processes with human-level judgment?
  • You will own and build core parts of the Poetic platform end-to-end and design powerful and elegant abstractions that scale.

  • Deep care for your craft - you can explain how your tools work under the hood and have opinions about them

Skills

  • Processes that once took hours can now be completed in a fraction of the time at superhuman quality.
  • What does it mean for software to be living and fluid?
  • What is the syntax of a programming language optimized for LLMs to read and write?
  • Can an entire programming stack be fully immutable down to the database?
