About the role
- Pay Range: $90,000.00/yr. - $110,000.00/yr. based on experience and qualifications Summary: The Senior Research & Development Food Scientist serves as a driving force behind Home Market Foods' product development initiatives.
- The position helps shapes R&D strategy, guides tactical planning, and fosters skill growth within the team.
Responsibilities
- This role spans hands-on product formulation and testing, as well as representing the company in key relationships with customers and external development partners.
- By collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, this scientist leads the creation of innovative products, and effective solutions to operational challenges.
- The role is focused on delivering consumer-preferred product designs that surpass client expectations while achieving targeted profitability.
- Drives new product design, formulation and development.
- Supports the sales team by participating on key customer calls to help drive the development and improvement of products.
- Provides technical support to the Quality Team as needed.
- Performs other duties consistent with position.
Requirements

- Bachelors in Food Science required/Masters preferred.
