About the role
- Adhering to guidelines and standards set by Ministry of Environment, PIDAC, (Provincial Infections Diseases Advisory Committee), Government of Canada's Food and Drug Act, and Public Health Ontario.
- These positions are unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.

Responsibilities
- Perform Housekeeping work pertaining to cleaning and disinfection, collection and disposal of waste, collection and distribution of linens, and receive, prepare, store and deliver food products
- Receives Hospital deliveries, validates and delivers items to departments, and enters items into electronic supply chain database
- Maintain Broader Public Sector (BPS) supply chain regulations and segregation of duties
- Two (2) regular part time Support Services Attendant positions are available within our Support Services Department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
Requirements
- Ability to work well independently, as well as contribute to a team environment
- Strong computer proficiency
- Ability to carry out the physical aspects inherent in this position (see working conditions below)
- Secondary School Diploma
- Experience in healthcare Environmental Cleaning or Food Services Department
- Certificate in Cleaning in a Healthcare Environment preferred
- Safe Food Handling Certificate or in-process of obtaining
- MSD prevention Safe Client and Materials Handling training, maintained annually
- Excellent record of dependability
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- WHMIS Training
Nice to have
- Food Service Worker Program Certificate preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Ability to operate hydraulic lift/scissor dock and all other equipment preferred
Compensation
- $24.51 - $25.34 per hour
