About the role

  • Review and prepare mechanical specifications.
  • Prepare or confirm all mechanical equipment and motorlist selections using the firm's selection procedures.
  • Review shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and other construction changes.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with a diverse team of individuals to develop innovative and sustainable energy systems, and high-performance buildings.
  • Prepare Mechanical and Plumbing schematic design layout and final design.
  • Create and maintain mechanical equipment schedule and motorlist.
  • Coordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team.
  • Maintain good client relations.
  • Basic understanding of global sustainability issues and current best practices in sustainable building design.
  • Perform and review heating, cooling, and ventilation load calculations (HAP, TAS, Excel, etc.).
  • Able to apply prescriptive requirements of plumbing, building, and sprinkler codes.

Requirements

  • Experience with schematic design, equipment selection, and 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond systematically to critical situations.

Compensation

  • As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $86,400- $105,000 annually for this position and local market.
