Responsibilities

  • Manage property revenues and expenses, including budget preparation, monthly financial analysis, and management reporting
  • manage default proceedings and liaise with legal and collection professionals as needed
  • Complete and document move-in and exit inspections, ensuring vacant spaces remain secure and marketable.
  • Develop and supervise operational procedures, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and regularly updated emergency response protocols.
  • Support building intelligence initiatives within portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services team on execution of preventative maintenance program and day-to-day facilities management.
  • Support Technical Services and Development teams in execution of repositioning projects, base building capital projects, energy retrofits, landlord's work, and tenant leasehold improvements.
  • Support Energy Management team in execution of sustainability plan to reduce energy and water consumption, carbon emissions, and maximize waste diversion within portfolio to achieve corporate ESG targets.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant commercial real estate industry experience in multiple disciplines including asset management, property management, acquisitions and leasing.
  • Minimum 5+ years property management experience in commercial portfolios
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Real Estate.
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience with, financial modeling and analysis, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of real estate valuations and returns.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and carry out multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • MBA and/or graduate degree in Real Estate or Finance.
  • Knowledge of Yardi.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong people management abilities, including a proven ability to build relationships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of building fundamentals and construction.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
