Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of various construction projects, from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Help enforce company policies, procedures, and industry standards to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors by providing guidance and ensuring that work is executed in accordance with the project's design and quality standards.
- Develop and implement daily work schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor and manage project progress, identifying potential issues and delays early, and take corrective action as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend engineered sketches and drawings.
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other company software.
- Ability to stan d and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per day).
- Ability to work on and navigate uneven surfaces on hazardous construction sites in a shipyard environment.
- Ability to work on and navigate uneven surfaces and at heights.
- A valid Driver's License is required, along with the ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Must have a clean driving record, valid driver's license, and ability to pass a background check.

- The Industrial General Foreman works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and labor crews to maintain efficient workflows and high standards of quality.
- The Industrial General Foreman supervises field personnel regarding but not limited to:
- Overseeing daily and routine tasks.
- Managing timekeeping and attendance.
- Providing on-the-job training and mentorship.
- Ensuring general supervision and adherence to company policies.
- Supporting employee development, monitoring productivity, and reporting progress to supervisor.
- Administering disciplinary actions as needed.
- This role oversees In-house crews performing various types of work, including:
- Concrete work (walls, slabs, and footers) and concrete construction.
- Trenching and excavation work for the installation of civil structures, concrete construction, utility installation, and other general construction.
- Heavy equipment operation for excavation, material handling, and site grading to include excavators and other earth moving equipment, rollers, compactors, aerial equipment, forklifts, cranes, and heavy trucks.
- Steel construction, demolition, and modification, including hot work.
- Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, crew members, and project stakeholders.
- Review Foreman records of daily time entries, daily work activities, and materials used for accuracy.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including conducting safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks on-site.
