Tessera is seeking a MOTIVATED and HARDWORKING Lead Custodian with a positive/helpful attitude.
Lead by example while performing daily custodial duties alongside the custodial team.
Train, coach, and support custodial employees on proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and contract expectations.
Follow and promote all safety policies, procedures, and industrial safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, federal employees, building occupants, visitors, and management.
Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and maintain offices, courtrooms, hallways, stairwells, lobbies, entrances, elevators, and other assigned areas according to contract standards.
Clean interior glass, doors, partitions, furniture, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Operate and maintain custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely and effectively.
Maintain janitorial closets and storage areas in a clean, organized, and compliant condition, ensuring equipment is cleaned and properly stored after each use.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
High School Diploma/GED required
0 - 3 years of previous custodian or janitorial experience preferred
Combination of experience and education will be considered
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
