About the role

  • The project focuses on translating NXP's invention disclosure templates and best practices into a deterministic, step-by-step AI workflow that improves clarity, completeness, and patent readiness of submitted inventions.
  • The candidate will work closely with the IP team and gain exposure to how ideas evolve into patents and business assets at NXP.

Responsibilities

  • NXP's Intellectual Property (IP) team is seeking a highly motivated intern to develop an AI-powered Copilot agent that guides inventors through the structured process of creating high-quality invention disclosures.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of AI/LLMs and agent-based workflows

Nice to have

  • Experience with:
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio or conversational AI platforms
  • Prompt engineering and LLM evaluation
  • Workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
  • Interest in intellectual property, patents, or innovation processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
