About the role

- The Superintendent Civil is responsible for managing the employees who make up the civil construction crews.
- This position is in charge of ensuring everything involving civil work at the job site is going to plan and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Schedules, manages, and assists subcontractors
- Ability to study, understand, direct, and perform management responsibilities based on construction drawings
- Prepares and documents job meetings, safety meetings, reports, daily pictures, and logs
- Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, layouts, and other documents.
- Manage schedule, including two-week lookaheads
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant construction-related discipline, such as construction management or engineering
- A minimum of 7 years of prior commercial project construction superintendent experience
- Possess an OSHA 30-Hour certification and a thorough knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel and/or work weekends and nights if needed
- Anticipate potential problems and quickly identify issues and make educated decisions as required to maintain schedule
- Construction site environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb.
- Completes reports and documentation required or requested by management
- Willing to accomplish related tasks that may be required at any given time to get the job done
