About the role
- Rockstar is on the lookout for a passionate Associate Principal Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Game Security team.
- This role will be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential threats to Rockstar's Live Service titles as well as the organization at large.
- This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar's new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA.
Responsibilities
- Own complex investigations, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis from multiple systems.
- Maintain intelligence on relevant subjects and emerging threats.
- Support response efforts for security incidents and escalations as needed.
- Drive process improvements, including automation and tooling to scale investigative workflows.
- Develop and maintain reporting to measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Requirements
- 8+ years professional experience in threat intelligence, investigations, or similar roles.
- Strong expertise in intelligence gathering, monitoring, and investigative reporting.
- Experience conducting complex investigations across digital platforms.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and systems (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, or similar).
- Experience with link analysis methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to investigations.
- Familiarity with security assessment tools and monitoring systems.

- Experience with Maltego, Hunchly, Splunk, case management platforms, and/or relational databases.
- Experience working with online games, live services, or large-scale AAA multiplayer environments.
Nice to have
- Background in threat intelligence, open-source intelligence or internal/external investigations preferred.
Compensation
- The pay range for this position in San Diego at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year.
