About the role
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Mold Fabrication & Assembly: Manufacture, assemble, and modify molds using machining techniques such as milling, grinding, drilling, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining).
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure molds remain in optimal condition.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to create precise molds.
- Mold Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair worn or damaged molds to maintain production efficiency.
- Perform hand-finishing techniques such as polishing, deburring, and fitting mold parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies.

- May be required to work in various areas of operations when necessary.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

- An ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD designs, and precision measurement tools.
Skills
- Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and other precision tools to fabricate mold components.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in mold making, tool & die, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, CNC operation, and manual tooling techniques.
- Apprenticeship or certification in Mold Making, Tool & Die, or related trade preferred.
- Experience with injection molding, compression molding, or die-casting molds.
- Understanding of various mold materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastic composites).
- Familiarity with industry software such as AutoCAD, Mastercam, or SolidWorks.
- Communication skills Attention to detail Good math skills.
- Machining & Tooling: Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and other precision tools to fabricate mold components.
