Rodeo FX is looking for an experienced VFX Supervisor to join its Toronto studio.

In collaboration with the VFX Producer and Executive Producer, support the completion of bids and contribute to the planning of project scope, methodology and resource needs;
Actively mentor artists and supervisors, helping develop strong problem-solving habits, ownership, collaboration and a builder mindset within the team;
Alongside the VFX Producer, maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status, creative direction, challenges and solutions;
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advances, creative approaches and work methods within the VFX industry;
Proven ability to lead teams creatively and technically while maintaining quality, efficiency and collaboration;
Strong mentorship skills and the ability to help build, influence and nurture a positive studio culture;
Open to working from the Toronto studio full-time in order to support team leadership, mentorship and floor culture;
They also maintain positive client relationships, present work, find solutions to creative challenges, and report on progress as needed.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in visual effects;
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a VFX supervisory role;
Strong understanding of the full VFX production process, from concept through final delivery;
Must be available for occasional international travel.

The VFX Supervisor ensures that leading creative and technical approaches are used to realize the creative vision of each project.
They oversee the work of their project team, make decisions related to workflow and execution, monitor progress and quality, and ensure alignment with the client's creative vision.
Spearhead the creative and technical strategy for assigned VFX projects, ensuring a strong global vision is applied throughout production to meet the client's creative objectives;
Communicate the creative vision and objectives clearly to the project team, ensuring responsibilities, expectations and ownership are well understood;
Find creative and practical ways to protect the client's artistic vision while delivering projects on time, on budget and to Rodeo FX's quality standards;
