About the role

Responsibilities

  • myAbode is looking for a Controller to build and lead the financial operations function at the heart of our growing organization.
  • Director of Finance, this role goes beyond traditional accounting - you'll own the end-to-end finance operations infrastructure, from treasury and cash management to internal controls, payroll, and deal processing workflows.
  • We use AI tools to support parts of our recruitment process, including resume screening, drafting job descriptions, generating interview questions, and transcription.
  • Qualified applicants must hold appropriate citizenship or documents permitting them to reside and work in Canada.

Requirements

  • CPA with 7+ years of progressive experience - including time in a high-growth or early-stage environment where you built, not inherited

  • A clean, reliable month-end close and reconciliation process
  • AP/AR operations that run smoothly at scale
  • A dynamic rolling forecast that keeps leadership ahead of the curve
  • Finance operations across treasury, procurement, and sales workflows
  • Deal processing workflows that are efficient, controlled, and scalable
  • Treasury and cash management infrastructure
  • Payroll administration in partnership with external providers
