About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced Bench Technician with strong expertise in semiconductor RF repair to join our Internal Repair Facility in ATMC, Austin.
  • This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, modifying, testing, and verifying complex electronic and electro-mechanical equipment at the component level, including RF matchers and generators.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting capability, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and expertise with advanced test equipment and circuit analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of RF equipment, including matchers and generators
  • Develop or improvise circuits or test setups to support unique repair scenarios
  • Circuit design (intermediate level)

Requirements

  • Minimum associates degree in Electronics
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in bench repair field on Matching units and Generators (i.e. Advanced Energy, Odyssey)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in bench repair field
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in RF theory and AC/DC circuit design

Skills

  • Understanding of Smith Charts, spectrum analyzer
  • High Power DC supply repair, testing and calibration ranging from 1kW to 80kW.
  • AC and DC Servo/Stepper motor rebuild and test.
  • Advanced experience in AC and DC circuitry, advance test equipment, simulation software, and discrete semiconductor characteristics.
  • Labview, Multi-Sim, Cadence or equivalent electrical design software.
  • Hardware programming language (VHDL, Verilogic, JTAG, etc.)
