Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document accounting conclusions for complex business transactions, including customer agreements, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other nonstandard activities.
  • Prepare complex accounting analyses, reconciliations, and financial reports to support accurate financial statements and compliance reporting.
  • Identify business needs and develop ad hoc financial analyses to support informed business decisions.
  • Maintain ownership of diverse accounting activities while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional client groups to communicate accounting positions, financial impacts, and technical guidance.
  • Review work products, provide guidance to team members, and support knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
  • Support the implementation, interpretation, and maintenance of accounting policies and evolving accounting guidance.
  • In this role, you will apply advanced accounting principles and technical guidance to support complex accounting activities, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • You will analyze nonroutine transactions, evaluate the accounting impact of business initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional client groups, and provide technical accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Active CPA license in good standing or CPA licensing in progress required.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and documenting accounting guidance for complex transactions required.
  • Experience preparing complex financial analyses, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree in accounting, finance or business desired.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional client groups and provide technical accounting guidance.
  • CPA Related Benefits (administered at the discretion of the department):
  • Annual CPA license fee reimbursement.

Nice to have

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • Master's degree in accounting, finance or business desired.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience applying technical accounting standards to complex business transactions
  • experience with ASC 606 preferred.
  • Big Four or large national/regional public accounting firm experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
  • experience with Workday ERP preferred.
