About the role
- The Pre-Assembly QC Technician checks parts before they enter boat assembly.
- The main goal is to find and fix problems early so defects do not move forward in production.
- This role inspects upholstery, towers, plastic parts, dashboards, and related components to make sure they fit correctly, function properly, and meet Tigé Boats quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure seams and thread strength support proper stretching without damage.

Requirements
- Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or manufacturing training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Control or manufacturing inspection experience.
- Marine, upholstery, plastics, or fabrication experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong visual inspection and attention to detail.
- Ability to read drawings, templates, and specifications.
- Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, gauges, fixtures).
- Understanding of manufacturing defect prevention principles.
- Effective communication within cross-functional teams.
- Work Environment:
- Active manufacturing environment including upholstery, plastics, fabrication, and assembly areas.
- Exposure to fabrics, plastics, adhesives, and fabrication operations.
- Position requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- PPE required in designated work areas.
- Performance Expectations:
- Reduction of defects entering main assembly operations.
