About the role
- This role involves the delivery of comprehensive flight instruction, mission planning, and debriefing ensuring pilots are equipped with the skills necessary to execute complex aerial maneuvers and tactical missions safely and effectively.
- Reporting to the Vice President, Tactical, their duties and responsibilities will include:
- Mission Planning and Execution: · Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of training missions and exercises
Responsibilities
- Providing guidance and support to pilots in their professional development and career progression
- Working closely with other instructors, mission planners, and support personnel to ensure cohesive and effective training operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aviation, aeronautical engineering, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 500 hours in a single pilot high performance jet is required
- Operational experience on a front-line fighter aircraft is required
- A valid Transport Canada (CPL) Commercial Pilot's Licence (more than 200 hours of flight experience) is required
- Valid Military pilot certification is required
- Valid Instructor qualification is required
- Transport Canada ratings and endorsements to provide instructions on different types of aircraft are required
- In-depth knowledge of tactical aviation operations, combat tactics, and mission planning
- Proficiency with flight simulators and training software
Nice to have
- Previous instructional experience is preferred
Compensation
- $ 200,000 - $ 250,000 CAD / year
