Responsibilities

  • Provide programming support, troubleshoot electrical systems, and select components for engineering projects.
  • Design electrical systems and create detailed electrical documentation.
  • Lead or collaborate with cross ‑ functional teams through concept, design, procurement, installation, and qualification phases.
  • Manage vendor relationships for membrane manufacturing equipment and supervise contractors to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Support equipment installation qualification and drive continuous performance and reliability improvements.
  • Control panel design and PLC Programming experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, including both desk-based design (30%), field installation (30%) activities, and manufacturing floor activities (35%), and willingness to work in challenging environments (e.g., high heat, under equipment)
  • Our incredible customers undertake life-saving activities ranging from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, new medicines, and cell and gene therapies.
  • Controls and Automation Engineer is responsible for the Design, Implementation, and Qualification of membrane manufacturing equipment (electrical portions).

Requirements

  • Ability to travel - 10%, in supporting other Cytiva manufacturing sites, as well as factory acceptance tests
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • 10+ years of industrial engineering experience, including hands-on work with manufacturing floors or equipment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical preferred).
