About the role
- Assists to direct a team of professionals who plan and organize all aspects of clinical patient care services in the Medical Oncology Department.
- Oversees the work standards and performance of nursing staff.
- Reports to the RN Infusion Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient and staff confidentiality.
- Obtains and maintains personal oncology nursing certification (OCN).
- Implements department nursing Standard Operating Procedures as necessary.
- Develops and communicates protocols for chemo meds.
Requirements
- Proficiency in use of standard office computer programs and equipment
- Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of Oncology Experience.
Compensation
- Holds annual evaluations and recommends pay increases for subordinates.
