- This role focuses on planning, maintaining, documenting, and repairing Outside Plant pathways and cabling systems to ensure reliable, standards‑compliant operations.
- The likely hourly rate for this position is between $41.68 - $56.40.

Responsibilities

- The Outside Plant Engineer supports mission‑critical DoD telecommunications infrastructure across the Pentagon, Mark Center, and the National Capital Region.
- Maintain and repair Outside Plant cable infrastructure, including MH/HH, conduit, copper, coax, and fiber systems
- Conduct site surveys, produce weekly reports, and develop maintenance plans
- Perform 24/7/365 break/fix support for Outside Plant systems within JSP purview
- Support configuration management and maintain accurate OSP data and documentation for NCR facilities

Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to conduct site walks on active construction sites;
- Travel Required:
- You are expected to be on camera during virtual interviews.
- BICSI RCDD certification
- BICSI OSP Designer certification

- Ensure compliance with JSP, TIA/EIA 568A/B, ANSI/TIA‑758, and industry best practices
- Plan Outside Plant pathways for Federal and Local Government agencies
- Make meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects.
- As an Outside Plant Engineer, you will:
- Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance (SCI eligible)
- Knowledge of BICSI standards, NEC, IEEE, EIA, and TIA codes; Understanding of Structured Cabling Systems;
- Experience with fusion and mechanical fiber splicing;
Compensation
- This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
- Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
