About the role

  • BASIC PURPOSE Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of warehouse-related equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, batteries, etc).
  • This keeps day and night warehouse operations functional to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of product.

Responsibilities

  • Warehouse personnel, warehouse supervisors, Operations support, Maintenance, and Sanitation personnel

Requirements

  • Follow all US Foods and government safety requirements when working on equipment, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, placarding, required documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Additional mechanical training or a trade-school degree preferred.
  • Minimum of six months of previous mechanic or equipment-maintenance experience required.
  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment operation and repair.
  • Ability to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
  • Welding ability preferred.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Compensation

  • depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law, for example, state minimum wage thresholds.
  • The expected base rate for this role is $24.00 per hour.
