About the role

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the project team to the overall successful completion of a specific project.

Communication functions: Conducts regular meetings with clients, subcontractors, vendors and key stakeholders to ensure clarity under the supervision of the Project Manager

Reviews design, contract and bid documents, bid analysis, reviews subcontracts and material contracts, permit processing
Provides technical support to operations team, constructability reviews, offers technical information to the project team to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications, assists in pre-planning functions of the project
These responsibilities include a level of engagement and ownership in the areas of scheduling, financial forecasting, operational planning and execution, mitigating all risks and ultimate support of the field operations.

Must have previous heavy civil construction field-related experience in earthwork, grading, concrete structures, foundations, and underground utilities.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in project controls systems and software.
Precision: Must have exceptional organizational skills, attention for detail with the ability to identify and resolve plan and specification related discrepancies.
2+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil construction and/or a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering degree.

Base salary range is $95,000-$125,000 a year, which varies depending on many factors, including experience, skills, and knowledge.

This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
