About the role

The Applied Materials Division (AMD) at Argonne National Laboratory is looking to hire an Associate Materials Scientist - Carbon Beneficiation and Separation.
This research and development position will report to the Resource Recovery and Separations Department.
The position is broadly focused on securing a domestic supply chain for critical materials, such as graphite.

Proven track record showing the ability to carry out independent and collaborative research in a multidisciplinary team while meeting project deliverables and milestones.
Ability to work with large volumes of hazardous chemicals.
Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.

Expertise in beneficiation of minerals or materials, leaching, and separation technologies.

The expected hiring range for this position is $94,486.00 - $147,398.94.
