About the role
- Offers 15-20 hours of coaching appointments per week and holds 400+ coaching appointments per year.

- Keeps current on key trends in recruiting and hiring, including new job and fellowship opportunities across industries of interest to Harvard Chan students, and informs staff accordingly
Responsibilities
- Provides one-on-one career coaching and advising in 30 and 45-minute sessions to students and alumni in all aspects of the career development process with the goal of moving students forward in their career goals; documents student interactions; provides follow-up with resources as needed; and shares pertinent information within the coaching team.
- Delivers a comprehensive series of customized programs, workshops, and networking events to increase the career readiness skills of Harvard Chan students, offered in person or online
- Works collaboratively with teammates within OCPD, Student Services, and across the School and University, including building productive partnerships with key faculty, staff, administrators, and students
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
- Support for families and caregivers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience
Nice to have
- Harvard University requires pre-employment reference checks and background screenings.
Skills
- Master's Degree is strongly preferred
- ICF coaching certification preferred
- Experience advising students, including graduate-level students
- Experience working with communication tools such as WordPress, Canvas, Canva, Zoom, and LinkedIn
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools such as Symplicity and Microsoft Office Suite
- Effectively organize and prioritize work
- Excellent interpsonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Flexibility, creativity, and collaboration
- Comfortability with public speaking, presenting and facilitating is strongly preferred
