Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and site events that promote teamwork, inclusion, and positive employee experience.

  • The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for coordinating and supporting the human resources activities for the Houston, TX Windows manufacturing facility.
  • This position will build positive relationships within the groups and is the liaison with leaders.

Requirements

  • 5 years progressive HR experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in a generalist/functional role with exposure to compensation, performance management, training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) required.
  • Must be able to speak, understand, read and write in English and Spanish
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Any additional duties and tasks as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. SHRM or HRCI certified professional a plus.
  • 5 years progressive HR experience. 3+ years' experience in a generalist/functional role with exposure to compensation, performance management, training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently, and coordinate with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, high level of attention to detail and adaptability to changing business requirements
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) required. Must be able to speak, understand, read and write in English and Spanish

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • SHRM or HRCI certified professional a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, MS office products, Workday knowledge a plus
