About the role
- You will also guide the continued evolution of hybrid infrastructure capabilities, including selective expansion of Azure-based IaaS services over time.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and coach an infrastructure team by setting priorities, building technical depth, and ensuring execution across operational support and project delivery.
- Lead lifecycle management, capacity planning, technology refresh initiatives, and infrastructure standards across data center environments.
- Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, application, and IT leadership teams to align infrastructure priorities, manage risk, and communicate platform performance.
- Support vulnerability remediation, patch compliance, privileged access standards, audit readiness, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
- Drive standardization and automation across provisioning, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle activities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Manage infrastructure budgets, forecasting, cost optimization, vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance expectations.
- Problem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations.
- 3+ years of experience managing infrastructure or server teams.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining enterprise-scale, on-premises infrastructure environments.
- Experience with data center operations, migrations, or consolidation efforts.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Working knowledge of ITIL or related service management practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience managing team projects, including planning, prioritization, execution tracking, and delivery accountability.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, or technology refresh planning.
- To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
- Working knowledge of hybrid infrastructure environments, including Azure IaaS services such as virtual machines, networking, and identity integration.

- The starting pay range for Minnesota is $127,000 to $157,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience supporting manufacturing or OT environments, and relevant certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, or ITIL.
Compensation
- The starting pay range for Minnesota is $127,000 to $157,000 per year.
