About the role

  • This role reports to the Revenue Accounting Director and requires an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous financial controls and high-quality reporting.
  • Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated processes and workflows to review contracts for non-standard terms and conditions and determine the revenue impact under ASC 606; for exceptions, execute review and determine the revenue impact
  • Perform monthly and quarterly revenue activities in support of the financial close process, including recognizing revenue, fair value allocations and various account reconciliations
  • Support external auditors with quarterly revenue testing
  • This role focuses on the end-to-end revenue recognition process, including contract review, financial close activities, and technical accounting assessments to support our rapidly scaling business.

Requirements

  • Job responsibilities that have included ASC 606 required
  • 3+ years of professional experience, ideally with SaaS technology experience from public accounting or industry
  • The ideal candidate will bring a strong revenue accounting background and systems-oriented focus.
  • If you are joining our Engineering team, you will be required to attend a regional HubSpot office for in-person onboarding.
  • Self-starter with a high-affinity for identifying and solving problems
  • A strong business acumen and problem solving ability
  • Highly flexible in adapting to the needs of the team and organization

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required and CPA preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and AI tools is required, NetSuite and Aptitude/RevStream experience preferred

Compensation

  • $84,000 - $126,000 USD
