About the role

  • This is a high-impact opportunity to move beyond traditional compliance work into strategic tax planning, entity management, and global cash optimization.
  • You will serve as the internal owner of tax across the organization, helping reduce reliance on external advisors while improving visibility, control, and scalability across our global operations.
  • You will also play a key role in supporting tax planning and structure optimization initiatives associated with our continued international growth and future transaction activity.

Responsibilities

  • StarRez is seeking a Tax Manager to build and lead our in-house tax function while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors across a complex global environment.
  • Own end-to-end U.S. federal and multi-state income tax compliance across a high-volume, multi-entity filing structure driven by acquisitions
  • Prepare and review tax filings, including apportionment, nexus analysis, registrations, and audit support
  • Manage tax calendars, estimated payments, extensions, and ensure timely, accurate filings across all jurisdictions
  • Support transfer pricing execution, intercompany agreements, and documentation in coordination with external advisors
  • Partner with Legal to manage global entity structure, including entity setup, maintenance, governance filings, and restructuring activities
  • Collaborate with Finance on global cash management, including repatriation strategies, intercompany funding, dividends, and cash tax efficiency
  • Implement and enhance tax processes, controls, and documentation to improve scalability and audit readiness
  • Evaluate and implement tax and/or entity management systems to increase automation, visibility, and efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience
  • Strong expertise in U.S. corporate income tax and multi-state compliance.
  • Experience with tax provision (ASC 740)
  • Experience with transfer pricing concepts and intercompany arrangements
  • Familiarity with tax software and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution

Nice to have

  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Experience working within Big 4 or top-tier public accounting firms
  • Experience working with UK, Australia, India, or multinational structures
  • Experience operating within a global SaaS or high-growth technology environment
  • Exposure to tax structure optimization and post-acquisition integration activities
  • Experience implementing or improving tax and entity management systems
  • Familiarity with treasury-related tax considerations, including cash repatriation and intercompany funding structures
