About the role
- We are seeking a Tooling Engineer / Designer to join the SyBridge engineering team at our Fitchburg, Massachusetts facility.
- This individual will work closely within the Engineering department and closely with the Operations and Commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Modify and/or develop cooling and ejection system
- Verify mechanisms function properly in the design
- Understand and apply customer or SyBridge standards to the mold design
- Incorporate all customer & SyBridge safety standards into all tool designs
- Successfully maintain a fluctuating workload, multi-task on jobs and conflicting priorities, sufficient information to proceed with work
Requirements
- Must be able to work independently to scheduled workloads, with ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met per SyBridge and customer standards
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Three to five years of related experience designing tooling/plastic injection molds or equivalent experience
- Proficient with Microsoft office (i.e, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship building skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and communicating with cross-functional teams
