About the role
- Demonstrates deep technical domain knowledge and ownership of multiple product features end-to-end, spanning both backend and frontend development (approximately 60% backend / 40% frontend).
- A key strategic player involved in maintenance of product features, including on call escalations, triaging and resolution.
- Includes designing data structures, optimizing, and maintaining systems, as well as effective caching strategies to enhance performance and responsiveness - Deep understanding and practical application of REST API best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning
- Write clean code to develop functional web applications
- Build and maintain data pipelines that transform incoming data into Kafka streams and "KeyLife Indicators" (KLIs)
- Perform UI tests to optimize performance
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Provide training and support to internal teams
- Lead mentoring and technical support to junior engineers
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Lead deep-dive architectural discussions across the team
Requirements
- Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment
- Minimum Years of Experience
- Typically requires 12-13 years of related experience in software development, or a related field
- or 10 years and an advanced degree
- Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs
- Ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 10 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions
Nice to have
- Strong experience working with modern Javascript frameworks, with Vue.js as a preferred requirement, alongside React, Angular, and Tailwind CSS
Compensation
- As of January 1, 2023, new states and locales have enacted pay equity laws that require more pay transparency by employers in the following states: California, Colorado (effective January 1, 2021), Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island and Washington.
- $150,000 - $175,000
