About the role

  • The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$108,000.00.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and programmatic support for NINDS Neurodegeneration Cluster (NDR) activities focused on Alzheimer's Disease-Related Dementias (ADRD) research.
  • Support the development, planning, execution, and coordination of scientific projects and initiatives.
  • Track project milestones, action items, deadlines, and maintain project documentation and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, charts, graphs, briefing materials, and other program-related documents.
  • Organize and maintain databases, reference libraries, spreadsheets, and presentation materials.
  • Communicate with investigators, program staff, and stakeholders to support research and program operations.
  • Provide progress updates and support leadership reporting and decision-making activities.
  • This role will support timely, accurate, and policy-compliant analysis, reporting, and coordination activities that advance NINDS Division of Neuroscience Research priorities in neurodegeneration and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias research.
  • Experience developing agendas, reports, meeting materials, and other program documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Science, Biopsychology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting NIH, HHS, and/or other Federal research programs.
  • Knowledge of neurodegeneration, Alzheimer's disease, or ADRD research programs.
  • Experience performing portfolio analysis, research tracking, and program reporting.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and tracking systems.
  • Experience creating and maintaining databases, reference libraries, or knowledge management resources.
  • Experience coordinating scientific workshops, conferences, or advisory committee meetings.
  • Experience analyzing scientific progress reports and preparing executive-level presentations.
