About the role

Hyperion is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic coach to work with our new Development Team on Wednesdays and Fridays.
In addition, the coach should be available to substitute for other youth programs, such as our After-School Camp (Tuesdays and Thursdays), Club (Wednesdays and Fridays), and Varsity/JV Team (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays).
All coaching shifts occur between 3:45 PM and 7:30 PM.

Coach the Dev Team and/or Camp and Club, focusing on bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
Develop and lead strength training programs tailored to the needs of youth climbers, emphasizing injury prevention and appropriate strength gains.
Collaborate with other coaches to design and implement high-quality training programs for Team Touchstone.

Coaching Skills: Ability to explain climbing techniques clearly and effectively to youth athletes.
Must be available to coach on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and Fridays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Experience in competitive climbing is desirable, but not required.

Competition Climbing Experience: Experience in competitive climbing is desirable, but not required.
Compensation Starting Pay is $21.50/hour.
