About the role
- This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise AI capabilities that improve knowledge access, employee productivity, service effectiveness, and customer outcomes across Polaris.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy for RAG platforms, knowledge repositories, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI-powered knowledge delivery.
- Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver AI retrieval use cases that improve productivity, service quality, and customer experiences.
- Collaborate with AI Engineering, Data and Analytics, software engineering, and vendor teams to improve retrieval quality, relevance, grounding, citation accuracy, and user experience.
- Lead the development of AI agents that use enterprise knowledge to support troubleshooting, technical assistance, and information discovery.
- Partner with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to establish governance and controls for enterprise knowledge access and responsible AI use.
- Lead organizational adoption of AI-assisted knowledge delivery and establish feedback loops with technicians, dealers, support teams, and business stakeholders.
- Own and manage the budget for related AI productivity initiatives, including forecasting, spending optimization, and measurement of return on investment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience within IT.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise technology transformation, digital workplace, or product or program management.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience owning and executing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) processes in a corporate environment.
- Experience managing AI, search, knowledge management, or data-centric products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Technical experience with large language models, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, knowledge graphs, Python, and AI-powered information retrieval.
- Experience measuring and optimizing AI solution quality through retrieval evaluation, grounding, citation accuracy, and user-feedback mechanisms.
- Experience leading organizational change, driving user adoption, managing stakeholders, and communicating with executive and end-user audiences.
- Technical / Functional Expertise: You apply the required technical or professional knowledge to perform your role effectively and stay current within your area of expertise.
- To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
- Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, security, and compliance requirements within enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience establishing product vision and roadmaps, leading cross-functional initiatives, and delivering measurable business value.
- Experience owning budgets and developing business cases with measurable return on investment.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/on-site work environment: three days in the office and two flexible days. In-office days determined by management.
- The starting pay range for Minnesota is $130,000 to $170,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

Compensation
- The starting pay range for Minnesota is $130,000 to $170,000 per year.
