About the role

This position reports directly to the Tax Director and is located in downtown Houston, TX.
Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
7-10+ years of Corporate Tax experience, including Tax Accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and research tools.
Must be an independent self-starter with a high level of confidence and a critical approach to matters.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax

This position will be responsible for preparation of i) all aspects of the tax compliance process, (ii) assistance with all tax functions, including indirect taxes and tax audits, iii) assistance with the execution of tax planning initiativ

Proactively minimize the Company's tax liabilities via identifying, researching, and recommending tax planning, incentives and structuring at the federal, state and local levels
Proactively stay abreast of new and proposed tax legislation that could impact the Company's tax liability, including determining and projecting the impact on the Company, as needed
