- This role will be located at the Genesee Generating Station which is 80 kilometers southwest of Edmonton - you must provide your own transportation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Participation in callouts, overtime, and outage support is required
- As this is a safety sensitive position, clearance of a pre-employment drug & alcohol test is required, subject to applicable law.
- In order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in C anada .
Nice to have
- DCS platforms (ABB preferred), PLCs, CEMS and environmental monitoring instrumentation
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in power generation or heavy industry
- Strong troubleshooting capability across LV and MV systems
- Advanced understanding of arc flash, grounding, and electrical hazard mitigation
- Proficient with CMMS systems (Maximo) and standard Microsoft tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multi-disciplined team environment
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with: DCS platforms (ABB preferred), PLCs, CEMS and environmental monitoring instrumentation
