  • This role will be located at the Genesee Generating Station which is 80 kilometers southwest of Edmonton - you must provide your own transportation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Participation in callouts, overtime, and outage support is required
  • ​ ​ As this is a safety sensitive position, clearance of a pre-employment drug & alcohol test is required, subject to applicable law. ​
  • In order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in ​ C anada ​.

Nice to have

  • DCS platforms (ABB preferred), PLCs, CEMS and environmental monitoring instrumentation

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in power generation or heavy industry
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across LV and MV systems
  • Advanced understanding of arc flash, grounding, and electrical hazard mitigation
  • Proficient with CMMS systems (Maximo) and standard Microsoft tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multi-disciplined team environment
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with: DCS platforms (ABB preferred), PLCs, CEMS and environmental monitoring instrumentation
