About the role
- This role is a highly visible role, and involves partnership with planning staff, production coordinators, manufacturing engineers, purchasing and inventory teams to align production output with business goals.
- The Master Production Scheduler also is responsible for creating non-standard work orders for the transformation of materials, for rework or repair of assemblies.
Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the body of work orders that drive production and assembly activities.
- Develop and Maintain the master Production Schedule (MPS) consisting of work orders created in our ERP system
- This effort may involve quality staff, engineering support and other internal staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Sciences or other related field
- 4+ years of experience in production scheduling in a complex, low-volume high-mix manufacturing environment (robotics, EMS or other technology company)
- Strong ability to use ERP/MRP systems
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, order processing times, material planning and manufacturing processes
- Strong ability to use analytical tools including Google Sheets and/or MS Excel
- Ability to operate with limited supervision, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- The Master Production Scheduler must be able to facilitate interdepartmental projects, lead coordinate efforts and keep track of materials in a fast paced production environment.
- The scheduling of manufacturing labor, machinery and materials affect our ability to facilitate best-in-class customer experiences.
- The position involves a high degree of interaction with Manufacturing, Sales, Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, and other company departments and requires a strong ability to exercise independent judgment.
