  • AMS is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Paraprofessional (Teacher's Assistant) to join our team at the Nellis Campus in Las Vegas.
  • The ideal candidate is patient, collaborative, and passionate about supporting students with special needs in achieving academic and personal success.

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Support
  • Work with students one-on-one and in small groups to reinforce skills, reteach concepts, and support IEP goals.
  • Student Support & Behavior Management
  • Assist in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and provide social-emotional support.
  • Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
  • Help maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Campus & Operational Support
  • Substitute for teachers when needed to support continuity of instruction.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Ability to successfully complete required Nevada state background checks and clearances

Compensation

  • Compensation: $15.50 – $19.00/hour (DOE)
