- AMS is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Paraprofessional (Teacher's Assistant) to join our team at the Nellis Campus in Las Vegas.
- The ideal candidate is patient, collaborative, and passionate about supporting students with special needs in achieving academic and personal success.
Responsibilities
- Instructional Support
- Work with students one-on-one and in small groups to reinforce skills, reteach concepts, and support IEP goals.
- Student Support & Behavior Management
- Assist in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and provide social-emotional support.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
- Help maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Campus & Operational Support
- Substitute for teachers when needed to support continuity of instruction.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher
- Ability to successfully complete required Nevada state background checks and clearances
Compensation
- Compensation: $15.50 – $19.00/hour (DOE)

- This role provides targeted instructional support, assists with behavior interventions, and helps maintain a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
