About the role
- Such machinery includes, but is not limited to, furnaces and boilers, heating and air conditioning regulating units, and water supply lines.
- Starting Hourly Pay: $22.00/hr The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
Responsibilities
- Tests boiler feed water and maintains chemical treatment equipment to heating and cooling waters.
- Maintains log of meter and gauge readings and records data such as water test results and quantity of fuel consumed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
- The successful incumbent will perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- In addition to monitoring equipment operations, the operating engineer is responsible for performing routine and ad hoc maintenance activities with and without support from third-party contractors and service providers.
Requirements
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods, up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to view computer screen for extended periods, up to eight hours per day
Skills
- Minimum of three years' maintenance or facilities experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training.
- Philadelphia Stationary Engineer License
