About the role

  • A large meat/seafood distribution company is looking for a Full-Time Inventory Control Coordinator.
  • This individual will have responsibilities including, organizing the meat cooler/stocking and rotating stock, cycle counting, transferring products to the freezer, and filling orders.
  • Ensure inventory will meet customer demands efficiently.

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse environment with inventory control experience.
  • Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical functions.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email and internet software applications.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be able to work independently or within a team environment.

  • Oversee and plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment
  • Ensure all items in the warehouse are accurate, audited, received and stored.
  • Advise on stock inflow and outflow
  • Compile inventory information and present it to Management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restocking.
  • Provide accurate information on inventory to customers to guide them on order availability.
  • Investigate inaccuracies in the inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
