The Mechanical & Energetics group is hiring for a Manager Aeronautical Engineering; Level 1 on our team within the Launch Vehicles Business Unit at our Chandler, AZ facility.

Utilize mechanical design and integration activities, as well as strong leadership skills
Lead by example, ensure proper cross-training of the team, and make sure the team understands the requirements of the Program and how they relate to the individual tasks that are being assigned to the team.
With little to no guidance, performs analysis, design, or test of one or more complex materials, structural components or functional systems.
Based on broadly defined problems, studies basic design concepts and criteria for complex materials, components, or functional systems and applies the engineering principles involved to develop new designs
Perform highly complex engineering design, development, analysis, and test activities to support assigned projects

Master's, or PhD in STEM Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree
Demonstrated experience supporting integration / testing of flight hardware and oversight of technician work tasking is strongly desired
Active US Government Secret security clearance, or higher at the time of application
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

$114,900.00 - $172,300.00
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
