About the role
- Organizational Status Reports to the Head and/or Sub-Head Tradesperson.
- Consequence of Error/Judgement Work is subject to checking by Supervisors and/or staff carpenters to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Supervision Received Works under general supervision and from oral and written instructions and according to approved procedures.
Responsibilities
- Positions in this classification perform skilled Carpentry work on concrete forms, wooden framework, partitions and doorframes, moldings installation, stairs, sub-floors and floors as it pertains to the construction, repair and fabrication of buildings and may be responsible for the manufacturing of millwork and wooden furniture.
Nice to have
- Valid BC Drivers License.
- A trade certification to journeyperson level as a Carpenter.
- Cabinet making and finishing experience strongly preferred.
- Completion of apprenticeship and possession of a journey persons certificate as a carpenter.
- Completion of ABLOY training coupled with on the job experience preferred.
- Strong millwork skills and experience preferred.
- Renovation experience preferred.
- Experience with doors hanging, repairing, installing hardware and fabrication preferred.
