Responsibilities
- We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician to support our Land Development team in preparing civil engineering drawings and construction documents.
- This position will work closely with engineers and senior CAD staff to develop AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills while assisting with production drafting, plan preparation, document management, and engineering support tasks.
- Develop base maps, utility exhibits, grading plans, improvement plans, and other engineering drawings under the direction of project engineers.
- Translate engineer markups and redlines into accurate construction documents.
- Support engineering staff with document organization, file management, and drawing revisions.
- Maintain drawing standards, layer organization, annotation, and sheet consistency.
Requirements
- Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.
- The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, enjoys working with technology, and has the ability to quickly develop proficiency in drafting software and engineering workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Previous drafting, CAD, GIS, engineering, architecture, surveying, or construction-related experience.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or other PDF markup software.
- This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
