About the role

  • Serves as a senior technical engineer and one of the technical owners for Microsoft 365 services, providing expertise in collaboration, productivity, automation, and AI-enabled workplace technologies.
  • Serve as one of the technical owners for Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform, and Microsoft Graph integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 modernization, migration, adoption, governance, and AI enablement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the engineering, governance, operational excellence, security, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 platforms that support enterprise-wide business operations.
  • Work closely with Technology management, Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and support teams to design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions that meet current and future business needs.
  • Lead the design, engineering, configuration, automation, and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 services, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and supportable.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, governance processes, operational procedures, and platform roadmaps supporting Microsoft 365 services.
  • Support the engineering, governance, adoption, and operational management of Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI-enabled solutions.
  • Review technical documentation, design proposals, implementation plans, and operational changes.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit findings and remediation activities.
  • Experience developing automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, APIs, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, and related technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, compliance, security, information protection, records management, and operational best practices.

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, platform lifecycle management, IT Service Management (ITSM), governance, security, operational support models, and enterprise system integration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale collaboration, productivity, communication, and automation platforms.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience supporting and engineering Microsoft 365 technologies.

Compensation

  • M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
  • The pay range for this position is $116,400.00 - $194,000.00 Annual (USD).
  • The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
