About the role

  • The Field Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating and enhancing telehealth visits between healthcare providers and patients.
  • Receives, triages, and responds to inbound requests via multiple channels including, but not limited to, phone calls, electronic messages, google email and chats.
  • Under the direction of a provider, assists with virtual care activities such as gathering/documenting medical history, medication refills, test result update, patient education as instructed by the provider, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Whether through direct hire, contract, or temp-to-hire placements, we connect candidates with environments where they can perform and organizations with people who actually move the needle.
  • Serves as a liaison between providers, facilities, group home, insurance plans, support staff, POA, patients, and others.
  • Follow up on inbound requests with outbound communication to providers, facilities, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, and patients regarding patient care.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience in Primary Care or working with geriatric population
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel within reasonable distances.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
