- This role ensures the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Corporate Financial Instructions.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting for accruals and prepaid expenses, including monthly amortization and analysis of underlying activity
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand cost drivers, vendor relationships, and ensure accurate and timely expense recognition
- Perform and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and respond to inquiries
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Provide support for ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives as needed
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the corporate accounting function with a primary focus on month-end close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and audit support.
Requirements
- This is a hands-on role that requires strong execution, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.
Nice to have
- Four-year undergraduate degree in Accounting CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP Public company or public accounting experience preferred
- Experience in Oracle or similar large ERP systems preferred
Compensation
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 annually.
