About the role
- In alignment with the SEIU CBA, this position will be posted for 7 days internally from 06/12/26 to 06/20/26 and available only to existing members of the ratified SEIU Bargaining Unit with a contract expiration date of 9/30/2027.
- Complies with all count policies and procedures.
- Appropriate report is given to relieving scrub personnel. - Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies Accountable that instrument trays match the instrument list provided in tray.
Responsibilities
- Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite.
Requirements
- Experience as an operating room or surgical technician in a hospital or ambulatory setting within the last 12 months
- On-Call Required:
- Must have at least one (1) year of surgical tech work experience to be eligible for the new hire incentive.
- To remain eligible for your sign on incentive the following criteria must be met:
- As part of the terms of employment, employees in this role are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and remain a member (e.g. dues paying, fee paying, religious exception contributor) for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Required Qualifications
Nice to have
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Surgical Technologists (CST)
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) -PREFERRED
- Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies
- Solid understanding of anatomy, aseptic technique, surgical procedures, instruments, sterilization, and OR safety.
- Must have skills in setting up sterile fields, passing instruments, maintaining counts, and anticipating surgeon needs.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with the surgical team, respond quickly to changes, maintain strict attention to detail, and uphold infection prevention standards.
- Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) -PREFERRED
Compensation
- Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):
