- Job Title: Business Development Representative
- Victaulic, founded in 1919, revolutionized pipe assembly with the invention of the "Victory Joint." Today, it's a global leader in grooved mechanical pipe joining and flow control solutions.
- With over 4,000 patents and operations in 140+ countries, Victaulic serves various industries, including commercial construction, fire protection, industrial construction, maritime, mining, oil, gas, chemical, power generation, and water/wastewater.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities by building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly engineers and decision-makers.
- Leverage your knowledge of the Vancouver market to drive adoption of our product solutions, focusing on technical specifications and engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance product awareness, highlighting the breadth of our technical solutions.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of our product's technical scope, market applications, and services.
- Utilize strong engineering skills to write and develop design specifications, facilitating effective communication with technical audiences.
- Conduct small group councils, engaging top-tier owners, engineers, and product executives to support business development initiatives.
- The company offers a wide range of products, solutions, and services, including couplings, valves, fittings, and engineering design support.
- AI‑assisted tools may be used to support the review of applications as part of the hiring process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or BCom.
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or an MBA is a significant asset.
- Extensive experience within the construction and engineering fields, particularly in the Vancouver market.
- Proven track record in sales, including account management, achieving targets, and successfully navigating complex sales at the owner and engineering levels.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
