About the role
- EPI Power is looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to be located on a project in Boydton, VA!
- EPI Power, LLC ("EPI") is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers.
Responsibilities
- Track and control project production rates by defining work breakdown structures (WBS), establishing production standards, measuring actual performance, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain productivity and schedule adherence.
- Manage project controls functions including RFIs, submittals, change orders, commissioning tracking in Compass, and site logistics coordination to support efficient project execution.
- Support project planning and execution by collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, budget, schedule, milestones, and critical paths, while monitoring performance against established targets.
- Monitor and control project costs and schedules, identify risks and potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
Requirements
- This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday - Saturday.
- An industry-related college degree is required.
- The Company is a drug and alcohol-free workplace and background checks are required if applicable.
Nice to have
- A minimum of three (3) years of construction project management experience is required.
- LEAN principles experience is desirable.
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, or the willingness to obtain upon hire.
Skills
- Technology:
- Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Employee should have the ability to learn other software (ex: JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta).
