About the role
- Trains and mentors associates assigned to project team.
- Understands and applies MGC's processes, procedures and instills our core values.
- Ensures assigned work is being performed within budget, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Supports preconstruction, leads and manages operational plans for project pursuits.
- Develops and manages the overall construction schedule(s).
- Reviews and offers feedback for trade partner scopes of work and contract prior to be finalized.
- Supports the overall project permitting process.
- Manages and provides feedback to associates developing overall site mobilization, construction workflow, and comprehensive hoisting and rigging plans.
- Manages and/or leads project pre-planning/kick-off meetings with trade partners prior to mobilization.
- Manages, prepares, and implements project safety plan with guidance from the Safety Department.
- Manages weekly site safety walk-throughs, ensures documentation, and corrective actions are immediately resolved.
- Leads by example to set the tone and expectations for the safety culture of the project.
- Leads and/or manages the ORM process, ensures they are completed and documented daily.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in the construction industry
- Basic knowledge of personal computer and e-mail applications.
- Proven ability to accurately schedule construction activities or projects.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the primary responsibilities of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel.
Skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
