About the role

The Robotic Technician will be responsible for completing the setup and installation of robots from a single robot to multiple robot cells.
Promoting good communication within the robotic department as well as other departments to ensure a quality product is essential.

Support existing and develop new robot templates and platforms
Work closely with Robotic supervisor and department leads on continuous improvement; in order to maintain competitive edge in the automotive industry
Maintain and support departments developments and documents
Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming
Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy

Knowledge and experience using Fanuc DCS software
Degree, Diploma or Certificate from a Mechatronics
Previous experience with Fanuc Karel programming language
Working knowledge of communication protocols (Enet IP)
Perform other reasonable duties as required
Overtime hours will be required
Successful candidates will possess programming capability, as well as have demonstrated experience with good troubleshooting and startup support.
Robot programmer will ensure all equipment is in a working order and will assist and train other robot techs as required.
